Dhane got infected with leprosy at an early age of seven and started getting treatment since 1989 at Anandaban hospital. His fingers and toes are all shed by the disease. Although, he has left taking medicines, he needs regular dressing which is provided at New SADLE and it takes months to heal if he gets injured.
He joined New SADLE in 1996 when he was referred about it by another leprosy patient and started working in bags section since then. His wife is also a leprosy patient and they have two daughters studying at grade 8 and 11.
He is happy working here and wishes to continue his service.
