Deep hails from a remote village of Kalikot which lies in the far western region of Nepal. He was discarded socially and even by his family when he was diagnosed of leprosy. Being from a remote village, he had no access to hospitals and medicine. Later, he was brought to a hospital in Surkhet by some Maoists from where he was referred to Anandaban Hospital. He took medicine for two years under regular scrutiny at the Anandaban hospital and was later sent to New SADLE from there in the year 2002.
He is still unmarried and doesn’t want to get married either. His fingers and toes are all shed due to the disease and cannot do heavy works. Currently, he is working at New SADLE as a watchman and earns a decent living for himself.
He wishes to bring his mother to Kathmandu and keep her along with him.
